Barry Truter Folk Song Accompaniment (B/I) If you like to sing and accompany yourself, then you’ve come to the right place. This course is tailor-made for you. Mining the rich vein of contemporary “folk” material from Bob to the Beatles, we’ll cover basic guitar accompaniment as well as ways to spice up an arrangement. All levels and instruments welcome. Introduction to the Blues (B/I) Oh, the blues … Delta, Piedmont, Chicago-style … we’ll sample ‘em all. This course will introduce you to basic styles and structures of the blues. We’ll work on combining bass technique with melody runs, tricks and turnarounds. More than anything else we’ll aim for that “blue note” feel to the music.
