Slim pickin’s? No way! This class is rich in tips and techniques for finger style accompaniment. Using well-known songs we’ll explore picking patterns like arpeggios, calypso, alternating bass, claw hammer and ragtime syncopation to add colour and texture to your arrangements.
Folk Song Repertoire (any level)
What’s a “folk song”? Is it about form? Is it about content? Bring your opinions, I’ll bring some songs, and we’ll pick and play our way through repertoire from traditional sources as well as contemporary “folkies” like David Francey and Richard Thompson.
